@BenLypka@SandmanHotels@FIFAWorldCup Probably.
Although the rates get high during the airshow weekend.
We need more hotel competition in walkable areas of Abbotsford, including inns and B&Bs.
An inn in Matsqui Village, Clayburn Village, Mt. Lehman or Sumas Village would likely do well.
@TENorton I wish Council would spend five minutes in Kelowna to observe how a proper midsize city is managed. It has beautiful urban planning, spectacular parks, reasonable transit - including on demand in low density areas, sports centres, etc.
@kevinmcdougald from coastal rainforest,🌲 🌊 🐻 to desert landscapes. 🏜️ 🐏
Overnight at the 1920s Plaza Hotel w/ breakfast, in a highly walkable area. Take in the sights.
Take Ebus back to YXX Terminal or Vancouver. Spend an optional extra few nights in Vancouver. Return to YWG. ✈️ 🚍 2/2
@kevinmcdougald The shower situation is a bit bleak on The Canadian. 🚿
If you wanted to try it without the overnight: Vancouver or Mission Harbour (near YXX for low airfares from YWG) to Kamloops and travel through the Fraser Valley and Fraser Canyon, taking you along the Fraser River 1/
@kevinmcdougald If Canada is on your travel list for 2026, my business partner and I have launched Aspire Canada Tours (ACT). We have just released our inaugural escorted tours, which may be of interest: https://t.co/AP6QvuwXnM
@AJWVictoriaBC@NVanCaroline@Conservative_BC@bcndp I do not understand the rage farming. Most British Columbians want a boring, Mark Carney-style government that focuses on everyday issues. The polls suggest that model works. 1/2
@AJWVictoriaBC The Government of BC currently has a greater policy correlation with a high school council than a provincial governing body aiming to resolve issues for residents and businesses to improve quality of life and economic outcomes. 📉
@AJWVictoriaBC@Dave_Eby I find the BC Conservatives unacceptable. I want the Greens to be viable, but they feel more focused on wedge issues than practical solutions and a credible economic plan. Even basic office operations seem shaky. Without a real alternative BC will keep losing talent & investment.
@AJWVictoriaBC@Dave_Eby 4/4 Build a stronger framework with a simpler consumption tax, such as the HST, and lower personal and business income tax rates to grow the economy and overall tax revenue. Prioritize one-time capital investments that lift productivity and reduce operating costs.
@AJWVictoriaBC@Dave_Eby 3/4 If budgets need balancing, pursue productivity gains through technology, including AI, and proven methods like Six Sigma, not threats of service cuts
@kevinmcdougald Hungry and not sure what to make? Snap photos of your fridge, spice rack, pantry, herb plants, etc., then ask Gemini for quick, healthy, tasty meal ideas. It will give you a short list, then generate a recipe once you pick one. 2/2
@kevinmcdougald It's useful for managing your home, too: Upload your PDF instruction manuals and/or take pictures of your appliances (ideally the mode number tag too), router setup, electric panel, hot water tank, etc, put it all in NotebookLM & 'boom,' you have a personal AI for your home. 1/
@kevinmcdougald Campbell River (YBL), too. With the right marketing, YBL can be a stronger starting point for a Vancouver Island getaway than other airport options, given its proximity to some of the Island’s best resorts.
@kevinmcdougald With your research, you may find NotebookLM helpful. Upload your files on a specific topic to NotebookLM, then when you conduct a Gemini query, you can reference that notebook. In the query field, select the “+” symbol to attach or reference your notebook.
