@Alexarmstrong You could not get a more anticompetitive behaviour if you tried. TV news stations who've had dominance for decades, didn't respond to market dynamics, reliance on TV licence, ads revs etc, biased and corrupt, now the gov destroys the free market to push channels no one wants 👍👀

@mtaulty @RishiSunak I've just spent the past 7 months building a healthcare intelligence platform and I'm about to launch a data product based on a complex prescribing/dispensing analytics engine. The issue is largely the discounts each wholesaler offers rather than the data.

@mtaulty @RishiSunak That's just my take but the concept of agents can improve efficiencies or remove the need for manual hours or people. All of this needs expertise and time to set up though ( currently). Are you personally involved with Ai?

@mtaulty @RishiSunak It could be yes. The cost of something like that might be much lower than otherwise available or makes it feasible for independent pharmacies versus large chains. Sometimes I'm amazed at what isn't available, still, in 2026. The cost of building these tools should be much lower.

@mtaulty @RishiSunak This means many things including things like identifying optimal products relative to what's prescribed amongst the dynamic nature and not being reliant on large wholesaler information. It should put more power in the hands of smaller players and reduce market dominance

@mtaulty @RishiSunak The pharma market is highly dynamic - changes to the NHS drug tariff, drug pricing etc. Ai makes it easier to process large amounts of data at a price not dictated by large data consultancies. Often SMEs are excluded from data analytics that would hugely benefit them due to price

@mtaulty @RishiSunak That's not what I said. Ai has many applications, not just as an interface for a customer or user. Just imagine the amount of prescriptions written each month - over 17 million product prescriptions. Then imagine trying to identify the best priced product to dispense.
