Prefer to just search by a word or 2 & get results across every notebook, typed, photos, and handwritten notes = Obvi

If OneNote is too complex = Notepad; too simple = Notion

To me OneNote can be as simple or as complex as you'd like... Single continuous piece of paper = sure;
Different notebook with separate sections, pages, and sub pages to organize = you bet (1 of 2)
