Tactically distributed labour. Even though those writing in appeals set for hearing are usually doing so because the appeal was assigned for them to write the lead judgments.
In appearing at the Court of Appeal, I have come to identify the roles of the Justices of the Court of Appeal.
1. There is a JCA who keeps mute; his lordship just writes.
2. There is a JCA, who presides over the appeals, and take the lead in addressing counsel. Usually, the presiding judge.
3. Then there is the JCA, the Chief Enforcer: His lordship makes fire and brimstone rain on the excesses and inadvertence of counsel.
You do know 1000 army and other security agencies well trained and paid by the FG are available for this mission, but instead of getting them to fight alongside the forest guards, you decided to endanger the lives of people whose family are already in the centre of the problem.

“It was a season with beautiful moments and other difficult ones, but in the end we have to be real and admit it didn’t end the way we wanted.
I sent my heartfelt thanks to all Milan fans for their affection, respect and great support they showed me throughout the season. Forza Milan.”
Billionaire’s son, Raheem Okoya, think he can do whatever he likes and call it prayer. This is my problem with some self-proclaimed Muslims, nobody is forcing anyone to practice Islam. If you choose to pray, then you should do it the right way.
@rossoinc I agree with you that it is cheating. In fact, a friend told me that when he was leaving his former office, he told them that he had reached a state of mind where he no longer cared for the work and that it was the best he left.
@_empighalo I had this kind of conversation with a young lawyer this week. I told her to just quit if she doesn't see any motivation in practice. She said she is doing it for the pay,I said that is unfair and unreasonable.
It amounts to cheating in my eyes, you are intentionally unproductive.
My former boss used to beg us, lawyers to resign if we ever grew complacent, bored and nonchalant with the job. His reasoning was that a lawyer who grows nonchalant with the work runs the risks of making mistakes which could cost the client and the firm in damages and reputation, accordingly.
I now agree with him and absolutely dislike working with nonchalant people.
I was in a case last week, I prepped my witness but during cross examination the lawyer on the other side kept asking questions that directly implicated the defendant.I was just amazed by the fact that the lawyer(10+years post call) was asking those questions in cross examination
CROSS EXAMINATION.
The prosecution witness has left out very crucial information that will discharge the burden of proof beyond reasonable doubt. DO NOT REMIND THEM THAT SOMETHING IS MISSING. THEY MIGHT REMEDY IT AND PROVE THEIR CASE! Not every question should be asked.
It is disheartening to see these kids by the road side, they are always looking hungry, tired, thirsty and desperate for care.they get sick and recuperate without getting medical attention, some of them carry with them diseases ordinary people can't survive for long. It is sad.
In Arewa, we masked Almajiranci for too long instead of asking hard questions. A child is not supposed to suffer on the streets while adults call it tradition. Parents also have duties and accountability over their children.
