To celebrate St George’s Day we wanted to shine a light on Luke Pichler who at just 17 years old is building an impressive record as an England u20 International.

Luke is currently ranked #1 in Europe for athletes born in 2008 and #1 u20 UK athlete.

Luke Pichler (lane 4) is just outside his PB with 8.29 as he takes the fastest heat of the U20 heptathlon 60m hurdles.

Luke Pichler came out top in the U20 heptathlon high jump, equalling his PB with 1.87m and then going over 1.90m at his first attempt. Sam Wright remains in the lead on 4368, his margin over Pichler now just 35.

Despite Luke Pichler's valiant effort in taking the 1000m win, Sam Wright was just behind to cling on to gold by just 24 points with 5129.
