Every day's a struggle; some better than others. Wake up each day hoping today's better than the last; try to give reason others will remember me as a good man.
@boxcar_michael @AndreaRaeLAc It really wasn't until almost a decade later we realized how horrific the cost was for first responders of 9/11. This will be very similar IMO. We're going to see a decade from now the huge toll #COVID19 had on people. Millions of people are never going to be the same again.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in his NFL career!
Higgins put together a monster performance in Cincinnati's 43-36 overtime victory over the Tennessee Titans:
🏈 10 receptions
🔥 155 receiving yards
🎯 2 touchdowns
His 155 receiving yards led the entire NFL in Week 8, while his second touchdown tied the game late in the fourth quarter and helped force overtime.
Higgins now has 726 receiving yards on the season, ranking second in the NFL.
It is a little bit of a sad day in the weather community. The NAM computer model has been retired. This model (for our area) was critical in assessing the thermal profile for winter setups. It was the model that best allowed us to identify the "sleet bomb" scenario for this year's bigger Winter Storm. This is why our snow total forecast was lower than most. Virtually all of the other models have been a fail in these critical thermal profiles we use for assessing rain vs snow vs sleet vs freezing rain.
It is being replaced with the RRFS. The RRFS is a FV3 model and sadly the FV3 has been quite the epic fail in US weather modeling. The RRFS has a known bias for "over-convecting" and showing "end of days" scenarios. Hopefully the next iteration of the RRFS improves here.
Regardless, in my professional opinion, losing the NAM will hurt winter forecast because it was the lone model to accurately assess warm air advection (WAA) in Winter scenarios.
Beat Stanford by 54.
Beat Virginia by 44.
Beat Cal by 34 on the road.
Beat NC State by 24 on the road.
Beat Louisville (on the road) by the same margin that Ole Miss did.
But, they lost one singular game to the best team in College Football so they get shoved down to #16 and treated like crap, while 2-loss SEC teams get gifted spots in the Top 5.
Unbelievable.
@bigtimersclub@fantasyfocus Not going that far. Outside of the stupid OnlyDans skit, he's fine. But I do miss the old Fantasy Football Now Show compared to this Fantasy Focus Show. Erik Kuselias, Robert Flores, Matthew Berry, Tim Hasselbeck, Sara Walsh, Stephania Bell, Mike Clay made for a better product.
Dear @fantasyfocus,
Please stop doing this dumbass 'Only Dans" segment. No one wants to see Daniel Dopp on a bed of pillows in silk lingerie like a 1940s floozie. The music, Doubke D in all his stupid boudoir poses, the whole segment is cringy and sucks. Stop this stupid shit.
Somebody put prime Mike Tyson in Mortal Kombat (1995).
"I am Raiden, god of thunder."
"God of what?"
"Let's do this, you thunder motherf*cker."
Wait till you hear what Mike tells the final boss.
