Multiple Indonesian trans women were beaten, kicked, and doused with urine during a violent attack on the streets while trying to survive amid systemic poverty.
We urge international media, human rights organizations, and the global community to help ensure this incident receives the international attention it deserves and to demand accountability, as violence against transgender people in Indonesia continues to raise serious human rights concerns.
