This is why I have been constantly advocating that we are due a new census in this country. Ogun State is being cheated on a level most people don’t understand. And this is majorly because the last census was done in 2006, right before Ogun State experienced population and industrial boom.

Only 40% of FAAC is shared to states EQUALLY.

The next 30% is shared based on POPULATION and LAND SIZE.

Another 10% is based on Landmass and Terrain.

The same applies to the LGA portion of FAAC. Only 40% is shared equally.

Some states have 40 LGAs, some states have 33 LGAs, then you wonder why their FAAC goes up.

Before you talk about debt, Kaduna is the second most indebted state in this country, yet they get way higher FAAC remittances than Ogun State because of population.
