Under the Lagos State Environmental Management and Protection Law 2017, Section 9 of the LAWMA Law states that no person shall establish or operate any waste business without a license issued by LAWMA. Licensed PSP operators have one job, to collect waste on a weekly basis.
Lagos has a waste law. PSP operators have contracts. Some areas get service. Some get silence. I live in Mafoluku Oshodi. The Operator is Excellens. Last pickup was Mar 21, 2026. @Lawma_gov was notified on Jun 4, 2026 and they responded on Jun 12, 2026.

they also came up with another 100% price increase with no justification. The first increase was premise on high price in AGO which was then N800/litre but now is around N590 and still, they want increment when citizens salary is not being considered.
