Thanks to well-stocked supermarkets in Olgii, we are able to bring a healthy supply of vegetables, fruit, bread, sausage, pasta, pancakes and more.

We are also blessed with a cook who seems to be able to produce wonders and is accustomed to catering to Westerner’s palates!

We have travelled in many remote countries in the world on skis, sailing, motorbikes, mountaineering, walking and in small planes, but when we came to western Mongolia we had no doubt that Fatbikes were the ideal way to see the epic scenery.

Altai Tavan Bogd National Park is divided into 2 regions, the Tavan Bogd Mountains in the northwest and the Lakes Region to the southeast.

Glacial melt and annual snow fall supplies 3 large lakes inside the park that form the head waters of the Hovd River.
