Some people quietly change the direction of your life. @TimRasinski1 did that for me. Years later, David joined the story. Somehow, I still get to write with these two guys.

Executive function isn't something "extra" to teach; it's the foundation for helping students access the content they're learning! Find out more in Dr. Nancy Sulla's book Building Executive Function: https://t.co/GvFDXWfJP1 @RoutledgeEOE
As we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, how can we honor the lives lost while helping students understand religious diversity and challenge stereotypes?
Teaching about 9/11 calls for historical inquiry, careful attention to language, and recognition that no religious community can be reduced to the actions of extremists.
These commitments inform my forthcoming book, Bringing Religious Literacy to the Classroom: Global Competence for K–12 Social Studies, being published by @RoutledgeEOE. Religious literacy helps us create classrooms where remembrance, understanding, and belonging can grow together.

It’s becoming real.
I’m excited to share the cover for my forthcoming book, Bringing Religious Literacy to the Classroom: Global Competence for K–12 Social Studies, from @RoutledgeEOE.
This book grew from a simple but important question: How can we help students understand religion as part of the complex, diverse, and interconnected world they are learning to navigate?
Rather than reducing religious traditions to lists of beliefs and practices, the book explores how inquiry, lived religion, cultural studies, and global competence can help educators move beyond stereotypes and create richer social studies learning experiences.
Seeing the cover for the first time is a meaningful milestone. I’m grateful to everyone who has encouraged, challenged, and supported this work along the way.
Now on to the next stage of production.

A new milestone for Bringing Religious Literacy to the Classroom: Global Competence for K–12 Social Studies. The official Routledge landing page is now live.
Seeing the book on the Routledge website makes this process feel a little more real.
This project grew from a question that has shaped much of my work: How can we help students understand religious difference without reducing religious traditions to lists of beliefs, practices, and holidays?
The book brings together religious literacy, global competence, inquiry, lived religion, and practical classroom strategies designed to help educators move beyond stereotypes and toward a more complex understanding of religion as part of culture, identity, history, and public life.
I’m grateful to see it taking another step toward publication with @RoutledgeEOE.
