As a student of History and observer of people, a lot of you seem to only view violence in the physical form. That way of thinking is dangerous. It allows you to forget poverty is violence. That denying you healthcare is violence. That polluting your water and air is violence.

Maybe I'm just being reactionary but I feel like it used to be more of a common aspiration to be "well read." In the sense of having read a good amount of the commonly agreed "canon" that everyone should be familiar with, in addition to pursuing your private reading interests
My unpopular opinion is that we should start denormalizing people not reading. We have reached a point where college educated adults will look at you with a straight face and tell you they haven’t read a book or article in years???
