@mangh_oe It winds me up that it’s been reported to be all about pay, so that’s the part people focus on, yes it is about pay, but if you speak to nurses, the majority will say the main reason for striking is working conditions/staffing crisis which is a product of low pay

If you're a politician getting paid over £84,000 plus expenses, for mainly office work...

You don't get to tell nurses on less than £30,000 that they're being paid enough for 12-hour shifts keeping people alive.

They clearly thought she would be anti the nurses strikes.

Instead she gave the most intelligent and empassioned argument for decent pay for nurses I have heard yet.

What everyone must understand about the nurse strikes is that it’s not just about money, it is about drawing attention to: lack of funding, lack of safe and quality care, lack of staff etc. Nurses can sometimes work shifts with 1:24, imagine trying to provide care to 24 patients
