@employablegirl Also, I get that the point is the lunacy of spending so much just to not have to pay people. When the company isn’t even making money but that’s just it. The money isn’t there so maybe ride sharing doesn’t work. I don’t think any of these companies make a profit.
@employablegirl I’m trying out the math. If accurate there are 3M Uber drivers. That equates to $61 per Uber driver. Uber drivers deserve more than that right? Maybe they have even more $$ to throw at keeping $$ from drivers but they do seem to be operating at a loss rn.
@ForrestBennett We have to rush children back to school during an escalating pandemic for reasons including *checks notes* parents need free childcare for society to function, children will otherwise go hungry, and children will be abused without detection. So let’s just ignore those and open!

If you find yourself saying, “This is probably true” or “this might as well be true” when you retweet or share something...that’s how disinformation works. It’s rarely intentional, but it is still destructive.
@dahailey @hicks4ok @jasonkersey So that said it seems like the Cares act was useless here as it focused on the mortgages rather than the renters themselves.
@hicks4ok @ratkinson_robin @RansonHouse34 So what I would like to see are how are current judgements going to be handled. Will judges be forgiving of circumstances involving unemployment or lack of wages due to covid? I hope so. They should be in my opinion. Maybe I have this wrong but that is how I have read it.
@hicks4ok @ratkinson_robin @RansonHouse34 I’m not in agreement with this move at all. But from reading their thread these are evictions from months ago, before the pandemic. The ones that were halted due to the pandemic. Evictions dating back to around March will begin being seen by judges now.
1. Trump says something idiotic and harmful.
2. Small group of outrage pundits slightly exaggerate said statement.
3. Trump media propagandists cite the outrage pundits as evidence that he didn't say what people are saying he said.

@NathanDahm @OklaRepubCop So to answer your question I think that my believe is that these are not violations as they do not hold up in court as law and the 1st amendment protects us from laws being made by Congress preventing those 1st amendment rights.
@NathanDahm @OklaRepubCop And you are right. I think we mostly agree and continuing is just arguing syntax that doesn't really get resolved on social media.
