@bt_uk Hello. My parents (in their 80s) have received a letter advising they are to receive a free Full Fibre upgrade. My mother does not want engineers coming and installing anything, can they decline or will they need to switch providers?

@HMRCcustomers Yes. She completed the return prior to deciding to switch so it contains her bank details which will no longer be valid as of 5 November 2025.

@HMRCcustomers No. She is 79 and submits paper returns as she cannot use the online service. The letter doesn't mention how reimbursement is initiated. What does she need to do to claim it? She thought it would be repaid automatically to the account details provided on her return.

@HMRCcustomers How can my elderly parents notify HMRC of a change in address when they cannot do via the app or online, please? Is there an address they can write to?
