The European Union remains committed to strengthening our partnership with UNESCO to advance quality education, support teachers, develop skills, and build more resilient societies.

Human rights, democratic values, and sustainable investment in education must remain at the heart of our common efforts.

Today I co-chaired the 17th High-Level meeting between the European Commission and the @ilo with Director-General @GilbertFHoungbo.

At the heart of our discussions: AI. Technology must serve and empower people: it must improve the quality of their lives.

And this should not be just an aspiration. It should be embedded in how we develop this technology, hand in hand with quality jobs.

The Commission and ILO are ready strengthen their partnership with focus on quality jobs, stronger labour market institutions and greater social cohesion.

The European Parliament voted today with 511 votes in favour on the new rules for EU social security coordination.

For millions of Europeans working across borders, this means stronger protection of their social security rights, fairer posting rules, more portable unemployment benefits, simpler procedures for companies, and better cooperation between national public administrations.

This is a concrete step forward in delivering tangible social rights while making cross-border mobility work better for workers, businesses, and authorities alike.

A huge thank you to rapporteur Gabi Bischoff and to Marinos Moushouttas, Minister of Labour and Social Insurance of the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the @CY2026EU for their openness, constructive engagement, and commitment throughout the negotiations.

🇪🇺🇲🇩 Moldova’s European path is clear. And we walk it together.

Met with Minister Emil Ceban today to discuss Moldova’s progress on accession path to the EU.

Through the EU4Health programme, Moldova is already part of joint actions on stockpiling and knowledge exchange, concrete steps on a shared journey.

Moldova’s reform efforts are ambitious. The EU’s commitment to supporting them is unwavering.
