If Trump cuts military aid to Ukraine, the EU will have to shoulder the main burden of defense against Russian aggression. This means greater military spending, an increased presence on the eastern flank, and serious consideration of European defense autonomy.

The question is: Can the EU act fast enough? Are we ready for a new reality where we can no longer rely on the U.S. security umbrella? If the U.S. reduces its role in NATO, Europe will have to accelerate the development of its own defense forces.

Putin will seize the opportunity of an American withdrawal—this is a historic moment for Russia to expand its influence. This isn’t just about Ukraine; Moldova, the Baltic states, and the Balkans could be next. If the EU fails to act in unity, we risk destabilizing the entire region.

Beyond military pressure, an economic shock is looming—higher defense budgets, potential new energy crises, and increased strain on national economies. Will European citizens accept this burden, or will we see a surge in populism and internal divisions?

The key question is or better question for million dollar : Will the EU rise to the challenge and take strategic leadership, or will it collapse under the weight of history?
