@GraemeMenzies I know… he’s supposed to have had 300 hours of French lessons, so maybe a sentence or two would have been ok? Or maybe asking another senior leader to deliver it in French would have been appropriate. Remembering who we’re delivering the message for seems a lesson here…
@jodyvance@BillTieleman@EasyParkVan Same happened to me last summer. I took pictures, I tried and tried disputing it, they refused to cancel it. They even told me they were refusing further communication with me, closing the case and that I had to pay. If you find a way to get it cancelled, I’d like to know!

Vancouverites deserve a summertime fireworks celebration.
At City Hall, we were incredibly disappointed to learn of the cancellation of the 2026 Celebration of Light.
The Celebration of Light is not an ordinary concert or festival, it’s the largest community event in BC. It’s free, it’s family friendly, and a significant contributor to the local economy.
That's why I'm excited to be bringing forward a motion to Council that will see the City of Vancouver dedicate $2 million towards a one time, one night fireworks celebration in Summer 2026!

On this day in 1978, The Police released their debut album 'Outlandos d'Amour'. With "Roxanne" and "Can't Stand Losing You," punk met reggae and the world met one of rock's sharpest trios.
The country’s professional women’s sports market has doubled in size in two years and is on pace to reach over half a billion dollars by 2030. https://t.co/XBXypcXODr
