@GraemeMenzies I know… he’s supposed to have had 300 hours of French lessons, so maybe a sentence or two would have been ok? Or maybe asking another senior leader to deliver it in French would have been appropriate. Remembering who we’re delivering the message for seems a lesson here…

They even told me they were refusing further communication with me, closing the case and that I had to pay. If you find a way to get it cancelled, I’d like to know!

Vancouverites deserve a summertime fireworks celebration.

At City Hall, we were incredibly disappointed to learn of the cancellation of the 2026 Celebration of Light.

The Celebration of Light is not an ordinary concert or festival, it’s the largest community event in BC. It’s free, it’s family friendly, and a significant contributor to the local economy.

That's why I'm excited to be bringing forward a motion to Council that will see the City of Vancouver dedicate $2 million towards a one time, one night fireworks celebration in Summer 2026!
