This is one of the countless reasons why P*rnhub’s owners and executives should be in prison, the site should be shut down, and all funds distributed to victims.

James Talarico: “The reason poverty exists is not because we can’t feed the poor, it’s because we can’t satisfy the rich. That’s exactly what we’re seeing with Elon Musk become the first trillionaire. This is a spiritual sickness. What leads a person to accumulate more money than they could possibly spend in a hundred lifetimes when we have people starving in this one?”
From @lorenpiretra: “I just spent 4 days at Kirkchella — TP USA is a billionaire-fueled mega church.”
As @SenJohnson & @MarshaBlackburn put the power of the state behind forcing YP USA chapters into our schools, Loren has some thoughts.
Elon Musk is about to become the first trillionaire.
The reason poverty exists in the wealthiest country on earth isn't because we can't feed the poor — it's because we can't satisfy the rich.
We should tax trillionaires out of existence.
This gentleman is spot-fucking-on about Trump's AI-generated video of himself dumping shit on No Kings protesters. As Americans, we should all be disgusted by this psychologically damaged human abomination. 🎯🎯🎯👇
So many folks are reeling after Donald Trump's election, but one group we aren't talking about enough are women who've been sexually assaulted.
This week we elected a president who, just last year, was found guilty of sexually abusing and then defaming a woman.
The message we are sending to women is loud and clear: There is no accountability for rich and powerful men who abuse you.
Shame on us.
Why does the Sons of Patriarchy podcast exist?
Since going public 10 days ago, we’d like to address this question.
There seems to have been an assumption concerning what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. We want to more intentionally share why we exist, and the heart behind the project.
We exist to: (1) Provide the most robust assessment of the rise of Moscow, Christian Nationalism, Patriarchy, the underlying theology, and more, and (2) Give voice to those who have suffered the kind of abuse you cannot even begin to imagine in the churches and institutions we are profiling.
Everything we do is in view of those two goals. Every episode we publish has those as their focus. Every guest we interview is aware of our purpose. Every survivor desires the same.
To that end, we selected guests based upon their area of expertise. There are a range of backgrounds represented in this series: Reformed, Catholic, Atheist, Deconstructionist, Buddhist, Jewish, Progressive, Lutheran, Conservatives, and the list goes on. The only topics more narrow in scope pertained to the theology of Moscow; and for those, we leaned Conservative and Reformed.
The team behind Sons of Patriarchy is just as diverse ideologically as our guest list. We want to speak to all people, as much as possible, not just a sector of the population who happens to belong to a conservative and/or Reformed institution (I use that word purposefully, because we will talk about churches and schools).
That said, our primary goal is not to convince other conservatives that they must drop the “Moscow Mood.” Other podcasts and people are better suited to speak towards that end, and I’m sure you know who those are.
Our primary goal is exposure. It won’t convince everyone, but it will shine a light on exactly what is going on in these communities.
I’ll end with this: it’s worse than you think. What’s public is the tip of the iceberg. And we’re going to expose the iceberg.
So please, join us. Join the voices. You will not agree with everything on this series, whether you’re a conservative or a progressive, or anything in-between. In fact, you’ll chafe at what you’ll hear, you won’t like it, you’ll get frustrated and reactive. I did. Multiple times. I didn’t like hearing what I heard from the guests. But that’s just how change happens.
Change doesn’t happen when we talk with someone we agree with, it happens when we’re challenged. And that rarely comes from our own camp. And we want to encourage those discussions between various theological camps.
Listen to Sons of Patriarchy for the survivors. Help them, even if you don’t agree with us.
This is a horrible story.
What makes it even more heinous is that the reunification counselor forcing the boys to forgive their sexually abusive father is from a Christian counseling center.
May justice be done.
Lakepointe elders, the harm Josh Howerton has caused the church and 7 (soon to be 9, because apparently open sin by the senior pastor means yall should buy two more properties) communities is on you. Your spiritual immaturity, passivity, and abuse is on display. Shame on you.
Men, I cannot plead with you enough to stand against the normalizing of this kind of behavior.
If someone is sexually aroused by a little girl in a mini-skirt, this is a deviant proclivity and should never be normalized...
The only clear line I draw these days is this:
When my religion tries to come between me and my neighbor, I will choose my neighbor.
Jesus never commanded me to love my religion.

“New research done at Baylor in fact shows that survivors of adult clergy sexual abuse suffer rates of traumatization that surpass even war veterans.”
Adult clergy abuse is a growing epidemic in our churches. Please take a few minutes to read this important article by @reb_hopkins that spotlights this abuse and the heroes who are combatting it. https://t.co/IQxEw9UsGi
@RevKimWChafee@tdcroft34 With so much scholarly research available to EVERYONE, how can anyone who accepts that we are ALL made in God’s image not WANT to understand that we are ALL set free. Men and women alike were set free of dominionism. We have free will to make good choices!!!
