With Afra too—Afra is so sweet. Her energy is always very high. Whenever she arrives on set, everyone’s energy immediately rises. It’s really noticeable.
We always say, “Let’s film some more fun scenes now,” because the two of us are constantly crying. We’re always crying together, hugging each other, and things like that.
I really hope those days come. She even has a line where she says, “I hope those days will come, sister—the days when we’ll sing songs at the top of our lungs and dance together.” And when she says that, you genuinely find yourself thinking, “Yes, hopefully.”
By the way, it’s difficult for them too. Especially for Afra, since she has more scenes with me. She always says, “Just speak already!” It’s hard for her because she’s delivering long emotional speeches and getting no response from me.
As an actor, performing opposite someone who doesn’t speak is really challenging. I’d never thought about it from that perspective before, but it’s true—it must be difficult for them as well.
Were there any scenes you can never forget?
There were times when we laughed so much we couldn’t film, or cried so much we couldn’t continue. Actually, there were many moments when we cried so much. We had to film the scene while crying, and then even after the scene ended, we kept crying. We would hug each other. We already hug and cry in the scenes, but there were a couple of times when we felt everything so deeply that we just kept hugging and crying even after filming stopped.
Of course, there were funny moments too. At one point, I had many scenes where I was sleeping. I don’t know why, but in those episodes Afra would come over, cover me with a blanket, help me lie down, and basically tell me, “You just stay there and sleep.”
The audience found it hilarious. People would joke, “He’s making money lying down and not even talking!”
Of course, it’s not really like that. It may look that way, but sleeping on camera is actually difficult. It seems easy, but it’s not. Normally, you want to blink, but you can’t. You’re not actually sleeping—you just have to pretend you’re asleep. Then there are scenes where you suddenly wake up. I had a couple of those scenes, and suddenly seeing the other person in front of you while acting sleepy and dealing with the emotions of the scene is not easy.
Those bed scenes stand out in my memory. There were also moments when we tickled each other and laughed a lot.
And then there’s Nagi, Afra’s little dog. He’s adorable. Sometimes he comes to the set. He’s gotten used to it and it’s incredible—when we say “cut,” he comes right over and when it starts he goes. It’s like he’s become part of the production.
Once, Nagi lay down right next to me at my feet. We didn’t disturb him because he wasn’t visible in the camera angle. It was so cute. He adapted perfectly and got used to everything too.
As for acting talent—he definitely has it.”
@AfraTeamFanClub Nagis es toda una estrella 🌟 hahahahahah, si lloraban ellas grabando, nosotros quedamos sin lágrimas en la escena. Hicieron un muy buen trabajo.
Today we say farewell to Çağla Öncü. You were brave when fear would have been easier, loyal when betrayal surrounded you, and devoted to the people you loved until the very end. Your story may be over, but the impact you left remains. Thank you for the journey.

It may sound repetitive and we asked forgiveness for that. But it’s just sad to witness.
Many people misunderstand how paparazzi and the press actually work.
Paparazzi are photographers whose job is to capture celebrities in public spaces. They do not need an invitation or permission to appear. They often wait outside restaurants, airports, filming locations, hotels, events, or places celebrities are known to visit. Sometimes they receive tips from agencies, employees, or simply follow schedules and routines. It is not the celebrity “calling the press,” as people quickly assume online.
There are also situations where media outlets constantly search for content because celebrity photos and headlines bring attention, clicks, and money. This creates pressure around famous people almost everywhere they go. Even a simple dinner, a walk, or leaving work can suddenly become news.
Another important thing people forget is that celebrities cannot always react the way people expect. If they stay silent, people say they are hiding something. If they answer briefly, people analyze every word. If they look tired or uncomfortable, people create negative narratives. Over time, this becomes emotionally exhausting.
And honestly, the level of hate and disrespect people show online sometimes is unbelievable. So many comments are written without thinking about the consequences or the emotional impact they can have on another person. Fame does not make someone made of steel. Public figures are still human beings with feelings, limits, and difficult days.
Many celebrities have repeatedly explained that they do not want to discuss their private lives publicly, and they are completely within their rights to protect that part of themselves. Privacy is not guilt. Silence is not confirmation. Sometimes it is simply exhaustion, self-protection, or the desire to keep something personal.
People behind screens often forget that the few seconds they watch online are not the full reality. Actors, singers, athletes, and performers continue in their professions because they genuinely love their art and want to give their best to the audience. But loving their profession should not mean accepting constant judgment, invasions of privacy, or cruelty from strangers.
A little empathy costs nothing, and sometimes it can make a bigger difference than people realize.
