I was at this game working as a junior reporter for the Reading Chronicle. It was an unbelievable day, the day this record-breaking Reading team and fantastic club won promotion to the PL.
19 years on, this wonderful club could be just weeks away from being thrown out of the Football League because of a crooked owner who has run it into the ground and so far refused to sell.
No football fan should ignore Reading's tragic plight under the disgrace that is Dai Yongge. It could happen to your club next.
Please follow @SellBeforeWeDai to learn more and help keep the pressure on Yongge. The clock is ticking.
IF this takeover goes through, I really hope he keeps Brian Carey, he’s done an excellent job with no money, deserves the chance to show what he could do with a bit of cash! #readingfc
Local MP Yuan Yang joins Reading fans’ group Sell Before We Dai and the Supporters’ Trust to launch petition demanding a Parliamentary inquiry into the club’s absent owners. Fans plan to collect signatures for the petition before Saturday’s home game against Birmingham City.
“After years of failing our club, please sign our petition to hold Dai Yongge to account,” Yang says. “I’m confident that the Government’s Football Governance Bill will help clubs in future, but clubs in peril now need answers." #ReadingFC @SellBeforeWeDai@STARReading

I’m glad that supporters groups @SellBeforeWeDai and @STARReading have joined me in calling for a parliamentary inquiry into #readingfc's absent owner, Dai Yongge. (1/4)
@studunn21 don’t disrespect the stadium name! Select Car Leasing have done more for us than any other sponsor in the league! They’ve kept us afloat multiple times, paying wages, tax bills, above and beyond!! 💙
@karren_brady@TheSun 1/ How would you propose dealing with a situation like Reading FC, Karren? I think we're a prime example of why reform IS needed. Thanks to the actions of our owner Dai Yongge, we're in danger of not having a club this summer and the EFL seems helpless to do anything about it.
@SellBeforeWeDai
ON THE 1ST OF JULY ANOTHER CLUB WILL BE KILLED BY THE FA AND EFL
THEIR CORRUPT OWNER IS KILLING
THEIR CLUB WITH NO HELP FROM THE FA OR EFL
THEIR SUPPORTERS NEED HELP
SAVE READING FC
Fans of other clubs could be forgiven for thinking Dai Yongge is Reading FC’s sole owner.
Let us introduce co-owner Dai Xiu Li, who was also KSV Roeselare’s owner.
She reportedly pulled funding from the Belgian club and oversaw its demise. Sounds familiar, right?
What happened next? Unfortunately, Roeselare went out of business.
Now, Ms Dai seems to have abandoned us.
Like her brother Mr Dai, she isn’t keen to be in the spotlight. But when a club is in danger, the culprits must be named.
Please RT and make her name known in the football world.

Today we visited Dai's street - Danewood Drive, off Winnington Road.
Did you know he and his wife purchased a property here in June 2016 for £29.4m....!

Our gift from the @EFL_Comms, hand-wrapped and delivered straight to us.
We’re grateful (not).
We were kind enough to pay their Paddington office a visit though 👋🏻
