Former Shrewsbury midfielder Travis Hernes, sold to Newcastle United in 2023, has signed for FC Groningen after spending last season on loan with the Dutch top division club.

The Norway youth international scored on his #salop first-team debut against Wolves U21s in EFL Trophy.

A former Northampton player, he returns to the Cobblers as assistant to Chris Hogg.

Not quite to be for Shrewsbury's U18s tonight as Wimbledon won Youth Alliance League National final 2-0 in front of a crowd of 798. It's been an outstanding season for #salop's U18s, winning club's first Youth Alliance League title. Congrats to all involved in successful campaign

Great trip to Brighton yesterday. Saw Shrewsbury play the Seagulls at Goldstone Ground, Withdean Stadium and also when they played home games at Gillingham, but first visit to the Amex Stadium. Lovely warm day, nice ground and a comfortable win for Brighton over Wolves. 91/92.
