The King and Queen last visited Jersey in 2012, as The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee.
The late Queen visited the island in 2005, in celebration of the island’s 800 years of allegiance to the Crown.
Later today, Their Majesties will arrive in Jersey for a day of engagements, before travelling to Guernsey tomorrow.
The visit will highlight the special and historic relationship between the Channel Islands and the Royal Family, which stretches back centuries.
At Royal Square, Their Majesties joined a special sitting of the States Assembly, the island’s parliament comprising 49 elected members.
Addressing the Assembly, The King said:
"Jersey has one of the oldest connections to the Crown and we are delighted to be here once again to celebrate the special and close relationship which binds us together."

The King will be crowned with St Edward’s Crown during the Coronation Service at @Wabbey on 6 May 2023.
Made for King Charles II in 1661, the Crown has been removed from the Tower of London to allow for resizing work to begin ahead of the Coronation.
