Rarely am I on this app. But like clockwork, I come on here and find you dishing misleading attacks on New Orleans Dems. First, the cuts I referenced from my district were not Senate appropriations “exploiting” any process. They were projects in HB 2, which require applications.

Every year the Louisiana Senate appropriates millions in taxpayer dollars to local projects with zero project descriptions. The Constitution only requires a ‘specific purpose’ — and the Senate exploits that.

This year @LAGovJeffLandry vetoed millions that @RoyceDuplessis wanted in New Orleans for an “early learning center”, a “healthcare hub”, and a “housing resilience hub”.

New Orleans leaders are borrowing millions, watching businesses shut down, and raising fees — then heading to Baton Rouge to request millions for fake projects. This is why we are where we are.
