This is literally just aimbot gameplay. Not even the fastest CS2 player has aim like this. If these guys were this good, They would already be doing Esports to make easy money.
It’s hard to overstate the importance of the first car in this series.
It’s THE Hammer. The car that sparked my fascination not just with Mercedes, but with cars in general.
Anyone who knows anything about the mythical AMG Hammer will have seen photographs of this particular car. I first encountered it on the cover of Car and Driver, alongside some of the maddest machinery the 1980s had to offer. And yet, somehow, it stood out for its simplicity.
That, to me, is the magic of AMG in this era. To the untrained eye, it’s just another handsome Mercedes saloon. But all the cleverness is hidden beneath the surface. The ultimate IYKYK car.
And the history gets even better.
The man responsible for building its engine was Hartmut Feyhl, who would go on to leave AMG and establish the legendary Renntech in Florida.
Yes, that Renntech. The company that broke the internet last year when photographs leaked of its latest creation, the Sledgehammer, complete with a 7.5-litre M120 V12.
Which brings me rather neatly to the rest of these photographs. A little glimpse of the extraordinary cars (and engines) you’ll find at Renntech.
And if, like me, you find all of this utterly fascinating, we’ve just published a video exploring the place and its remarkable creations.
