@skolscream@mtflom@JasonHarmonNFL Not at all. It's also a reminder that Murray has fewer reasons to be loyal to KOC than JJ does if/when things go wrong.
@VikesReport That makes the most logical sense. The flip side of the trade argument is that the Vikings can't move from JJ without knowing what he can do fully healthy and having QB1 experience. It makes the most sense to find that out this season before deciding on his 5th yr option.
@MattAnderson_8 I agree and I think ppl should consider that maybe JJ has the advantage in this battle considering his knowledge of the offense, play style, leadership and contract. If the battle is close in training camp, JJ has to be QB1.
@thorku There's little downside for KOC or Teasley letting the battle continue through training camp. It's about evaluating JJ at the end of the day and finding out what they have in him.
@WillRagatz That comment displays a weak competitive mindset. Just say that learning a new offense takes time. Talking about a lack of reps is a red flag .
@croatnick@JasonHarmonNFL I don't think my support of JJ is any more unnecessary than your opinions of him. It's all going to play out how's it meant to and if things don't work out for him I won't be embarrassed.
@croatnick@JasonHarmonNFL If JJ was garbage and had no trade value, he wouldn't be in a competition for QB1. He'd be QB3. If he had a shitty attitude he wouldn't be talked about positively by teammates or his head coach for his leadership.
@thorku So this gives KOC more runway than the playoff win mandate I thought he had. You don't tie KOC to a new GM without giving him more time. Starting JJ and pivoting to Murray if needed seems like the best option to me.
@JasonHarmonNFL Vikings has improved QB with Darnold and weren't competitive in the playoffs and then saw him win a SB the next season. The key is offensive balance and a greatly improved run game. Run it back with JJ.
