His name is Jahangir Khan.
But he preferred to call himself “Pushpa”.
The biggest TMC goon who thought fear was power and law was optional.
Today, the self-proclaimed Pushpa is being marched by the West Bengal police.
Pushpa jhukega nahi?
Turns out Pushpa bhaagega bhi nahi.
She wasn’t a queen. She wasn’t a soldier.
But she became a symbol of fearless courage. 🇮🇳
Matangini Hazra was a simple village woman from Bengal—born into poverty, married young, and widowed early. Life had tested her in ways that break most people. But instead of surrendering, she built a quiet strength within herself—one that would one day inspire a nation.
By the time the Quit India Movement began, she was 73 years old—an age when most seek rest, not resistance. Yet she stepped forward when it mattered the most.
On 29th September 1942, in Tamluk, she led a procession of thousands toward a police station with one goal—to hoist the Indian tricolour and challenge British rule.
At the front of that crowd stood an elderly woman…
holding the flag firmly,
walking without fear.
The British police tried to stop them.
Warnings were shouted. Threats were made.
But she did not step back.
Then came the gunfire.
The first bullet struck her fragile body.
The crowd froze…
But she kept walking.
The second bullet hit.
Her body trembled… but her voice rose stronger—
“Vande Mataram.”
It was no longer just a slogan.
It was defiance. It was courage. It was sacrifice.
Then came the third bullet.
Her body began to give way…
but even in that final moment, she ensured one thing—
**the flag would not fall.**
As she collapsed, drenched in her own blood,
the tricolour was still held high in her hands.
She had no weapon.
No protection.
Every reason to walk away…
But she chose to walk forward.
Not for fame.
Not for recognition.
But for a free India she might never see.
Matangini Hazra didn’t just die that day—
she became a legacy.
Because courage isn’t defined by age or strength…
it’s defined by the choice to stand firm when everything tells you to fall.
Some people fall in battle…
but legends make sure their cause never does. 🇮🇳

India is secular only because it is a Hindu majority country. This is the greatness of Hinduism. If Rama and Krishna are not your Itihasā purushā, your national heroes, you are not a perfect Muslim. - Dr KK Muhammed, suspended for discovering the Ram temple under Babri Mosque.
TMC MP Derek O'Brien had said that if the BJP wins even 1 out of Kolkata’s 11 seats, he would shave his head.
Now BJP has won 6 out of 11. If he stands by his word, he should shave his head six times.
Never ever you'll see such scenes anywhere. Whole Bengal State Secretariat - Nabanna is celebrating at BJP's grand win today. Govt Employees have all been robbed of their DA for years, today they are all happy to see TMC goon. Mandate wasn't stolen, it was fully against TMC.
No so dear @MahuaMoitra,
Remember these words, Violence is part of the history, it has nothing to do party.
These words will be used in next few days, weeks, years or decades.
@IRCTCofficial@irctc_app@AshwiniVaishnaw Sir, why Train No 08047 and 08048 Naharlagun - Santragachi Special Train is running 12 hours late regularly. Please don't keep such type of trains. Citizens unkownlingly opt for such trains if they find seats are available.
🚨Live example of what happens when someone dares to speak against the system.
At the 30th conference of #AIBEA (All India Bank Employees Association) a young comrade raised his voice against the retired-style leadership running the union.
He spoke an uncomfortable truth, the same leaders have been holding top positions for 15-20 years. Many of them have no real credibility left in banking, some aren’t even connected to ground staff anymore, yet they continue to sit in power indefinitely.
And what happened next?
Instead of answering the truth, the old guard resorted to shouting, intimidation, and pressure.
But shouting cannot silence the truth.
Every change begins with one voice. From there, it spreads across platforms and people.
I salute this comrade. Change will come.

In 2003, a German film crew followed a nomadic family in Mongolia's Gobi Desert. The film, The Story of the Weeping Camel, was nominated for an Oscar.
A mother camel had rejected her newborn after a brutal two-day labour. Without her milk, the calf would die.
The family knew one option. They sent their two young sons on a journey across the desert to find a musician who could perform a ritual called Hoos, a chanting ceremony passed down for centuries specifically for this moment.
The musician came. The ritual was performed. The mother camel wept real tears and turned to her calf for the first time.
The film crew had gone to document a way of life. They had no idea they would capture that.
Iranian woman shuts down those who are calling for an end to the Iran War: "If you are not Iranian, STFU. You don't even know where exactly Iran is on the map. You don't know the difference between Iranians and Arabs. You don't know Iran is one of the oldest civilisations with 5,000 years of history while the Islamic Republic has been in power for only 47 years and most Iranians are not even Muslim.... Anyone who is upset about what's happening in Iran isn't Iranian. We Iranians are grateful to the US and Israel for k!ll!ng that dictator and helping us take our country back from that bstrd regime...."
India runs on 24×7 digital banking, but bankers are still forced into a 6-day work week.
Modern systems need modern work practices.
Work-life balance isn’t a privilege—it’s a productivity necessity.
Better rest → Better focus → Better public service.
Promises were made. Promises must be kept.
✊ It’s time to deliver #BankersDemand5DayWeek
India has gone digital. Banking has gone 24×7. Only bankers are still stuck with a 6-day work week.
Modern systems demand modern work practices. Work-life balance is not a luxury—it’s essential for productivity, accountability, and better public service. Bankers deserve the same 5-day work structure followed across sectors.
Promises made must be promises kept.
#BankersDemand5DayWeek
Issue of implementation of the agreed demand of #Approve5DayBankingNow pending for more than a decade.Meanwhile 5 strike calls deferred on the basis of assurances given & MOU signed on 07.12.23.
Bankers' patience shouldn't be tested to the point where it breaks.
@DFS_India
When the global discussion is about 4 day work week, it is concerning that 5 Day work week is still not implemented in Indian Banks but we are moving towards Viksit Bharat & Digital India. How the bankers can accept
this dilemma anymore? #Implement5DayBanking@FinMinIndia
