As an update to my article:

1. All token minting on Telos has been paused.
2. The EVM gas fees have been fully analyzed and the community settled on a 10x increase. A multisig for this change is currently sitting with the BPs and awaiting five more signatures. Swaps for instance will still be sub 1 TLOS even after the increase.
3. The bridge to Base is open!
4. Look out for some news on a US based exchange!

We shared our first joint Telos Guardian update this week since the new board was elected.

After a whirlwind first 10 days liaising with TF and TCD and getting up to speed on recent developments, The Telos Guardians convened on June 25, 2025, laying the groundwork for a new chapter of community-driven leadership and transparent governance. The meeting opened with unanimous agreement on leadership appointments: Wdude was elected as Chairperson, with Rozza stepping into the role of Co-Chair. Given the current size and structure of the Guardians group, the responsibilities of Treasurer and Secretary will be shared collectively by the committee for now.

A key focus of the session was transparency and community engagement. To keep the Telos community informed and involved, monthly X Spaces will be hosted by Gooey, offering a platform for real-time updates and community Q&A. In addition, the Guardians plan to create a dedicated subchannel on Telos, where ongoing updates, discussions, and initiatives will be shared.

On the financial front, the Guardians discussed strategies to ensure continuity while prioritizing lean and efficient operations. The consensus was to pursue a lean Q3 budget that prioritizes essential operations while keeping spending to a minimum. Specific items approved for inclusion in the budget include marketing content and support for growth initiatives. The Guardians emphasized that any budget proposal should reflect these priorities while remaining sustainable and aligned with Telos’ long-term growth.

The Guardians will reconvene in one week.
