I feel like @PeteButtigieg just made himself the next-next president ๐๐๐ I canโt handle this level of rhetoric & emotion! Chills!!!!! #DNC
@rauschma Forget localization, I prefer unix timestamps although I always get a strange look when someone asks today's date and I tell them 1640983516...
@rauschma I get similar calls about once a week. Always a different #, usually in my area code or at least in the US. When I answer, no one speaking, after 5s the call ends. But never spam voicemails empty or otherwise. I think it depends on what your telecom provider does to filter spam.
@rauschma I've heard that this behavior is spammers probing to determine what numbers are dead / how likely you are to pick up a call from an unknown number.
@rauschma After rereading that, I see I was mistaken. That's what I get for reading half a paragraph out of context and thinking I have a substantive point. ๐ต
@rauschma@ryyppy I might suggest adding that to your article. When you say '..implements the โnullโ mode...' it's not so apparent that the concept/behavior you're referring to is what many languages call an "abstract class/constructor" This is the first time I've encountered the term "null mod"
@alchemist_ubi@mild_sunrise@cjihrig @VOsikwemhe @nodejs I agree, node_modules is a mess.
That being said should still see the warnings even if that code is in a dependency of a dependency of a dependency. And yarn.lock/package-lock.json can help you pin down code you __know__ works.
@alchemist_ubi@mild_sunrise@cjihrig @VOsikwemhe @nodejs approach to error handling, testing, and deployment because this change should not break their code. This change has been talked about for years and the developer should have been aware of this, and not relied on deprecated behavior when the stakes are so high.
@mild_sunrise@alchemist_ubi@cjihrig @VOsikwemhe @nodejs I know right! I love JS/Node and you *can* make it do anything ...but when I heard "clinical health IoT devices" I cringed SO hard.
@rauschma Being from the US where the majority of people are not multilingual, I know a little Spanish but "know the words I know", if that makes sense. Thanks for introducing me to Esperanto! I can kind of just suss out the meaning. It's like someone made Spanglish a real language.
