Honor Blackman volunteered as a motorcycle dispatch rider for the Home Office during WW2, aged just 15. She delivered messages and packages between HQ and remote 'field' units, even during air raids. She later recalled it as a thrilling experience. 1/2
@straczynski Yes.
We need scary monsters, exploding Daleks, assistants who last a couple of series, cliffhangers at the end of episodes, a decent Doctor and no preaching.
@UKPRES1@ITVArchive Will have a look but it is never broadcast. ITV did a lot with Victoria but only the BBC seem to celebrate her work. Very good exhibition at Bury Art Gallery about her including the yellow beret from the Kimberley sketch.
@therealmissjo Bank notes need to be to be changed every so often to confuse the forgers. These are only English and Welsh Bank Notes as Scottish Banks produce their own. The old Clydesdale £20 note had a mouse on the reverse from the poem by Burns.
@TomTugendhat It is down to changing shopping habits. Where on the high street can you see Denby and compare it to other manufacturers apart from a trip out to John Lewis. People just buy cheap stuff from IKEA.
