Our son is autistic. He is very smart, but is also very dependent on us as parents.

My wife stopped working to be a stay-at-home mom (or how we like to call it "a mom"), because our son needs his save space...

A true Mallu story from my friend from Dubai...

" I was working in Dubai with a handsome salary, after a few years of teaching stint back at home.

I got a phone call one day, from my hometown. It was Lillikutty, my ex colleague.

She was a very nice and kind fellow teacher at the school I taught at, before I went abroad.

I asked her all about the school & made other small talk.

During the conversation, Lillikutty made a request:
"Thomas, our school still doesn't have a decent ladies toilet. You should help us with a small donation. This isn't a big amount for you, is it?"

Considering my income at that time, it was indeed small, so I sent the money for the construction of the toilet in the school.

Since it was a small amount, I didn't feel the need to tell anyone about it.

Several years later, when I returned home on leave, my wife and myself went to the local church festival.

While, I was strolling with my wife in the church grounds, out of nowhere, Lillykutty Teacher appeared in front of us, with a bright smile lighting up her face.

I introduced her to my wife.

Lillykutty blurted out her gratitude, "Thomas, whenever I go to the ladies toilet, I always remember you. What you did that day was something I will never forget.”

It has been six months since this incident and my wife hasn’t spoken a word to me!

No matter what I say, she just doesn't believe it !!"
