Congrats to @RPHRF Career Advancement Fellow @dona_jayakody who is announced as a Superstar of STEM, which is a @ScienceAU initiative funded by @IndustryGovAu. Dr Jayakody is researching if hearing aids can prevent, or delay, the onset of dementia in Aboriginal adults.

“Is this anaphylaxis?” Sometimes you can't be sure.
@CCREM2's Francesca McGrath and Dr Abbie Francis identified biomarkers that can distinguish anaphylaxis from other forms of shock (e.g. sepsis or trauma).
This could be the basis for a blood test to confirm anaphylaxis.
