Not sure if my eyes are open in any of these but we’re a pretty well-dressed group of septuplets/octuplets! #spiritweek#twinday@AISDBowie love my department for jumping in together!
Putting this out in the world - I use Trello to try and keep track of the things I have to do both short and long term and I’m using a separate app to track my time doing various types of tasks. Anyone know if Trello will help you track your time, too? Maybe a plug-in? #langchat
Anyone else out there need a day at school without students just to catch up on reading IEPs, making more lesson plans, making first parent contacts, getting your mandatory to do lists done, compliance training, and on and on and on??? Just me?
I also want to shout out @IT_Thrall for his help yesterday training me and someone else on pivot tables in google sheets so I can use my assessment data better this year. Thanks again!
It’s a great reminder for me that even simple frameworks can be used for a more interactive activity. Plus I got to know more about what my kids do and don’t like!
It was great today doing a simple 4 corners activity as a way to group students quickly and get them speaking. Already working on (simple) elaboration with French 3. They had to give at least 1 simple reason why they did(n’t) like an activity or class
@alenord This. I’ve got a small advanced class (level 4/5 stacked) and while I’m sad in some ways it’s small, it’s a great opportunity for the students to really get what they want and need out of the class.
Thanks to everyone who attended my session on supporting student target language usage! (And thanks to my dept for pictures!) @AISDBowie@AISDMultilingue
Great presentation by two great ASL teachers Amanda Hepburn-Lake (@AISDBowie) and Eric Breland (@lasahighschool and @AHSnewss) on interactive games in language classrooms @AISDMultilingue#prideinperformance
A standing ovation to @RPisFrench on her great presentation at the #2022BLSummit hosted by @aisdtdt this afternoon! We loved learning from Rachel Preston about the ways she personalizes the learning for the students in her French classes at @AISDBowie!
@welangley Well, I don't normally, but I'm adding it to my calendar so I'll remember! When I do, I just like to see what everyone's talking about; it gives me ideas and helps me feel in touch with what's going on in language education #langchat
