I found this exchange from 16 years ago that was absolutely priceless!

There is no rule stating it should be like-for-like replacement (bowler for bowler or even Ind player for Ind).
A bowler is injured, but CSK can do with one less bowler. It's their batting that needs more muscle, hence Brevis.
It's not shady it's just being smart.

Exactly. There will be no transition with MS in the field.
His keeping is still world-class (at least for spin). But he can't just play as a WK alone.
