The 453rd Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK) was inaugurated on 11th April 2026 by Shri Pabitra Margherita, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles @PmargheritaBJP, in the august presence of Shri Anil Baluni, Hon’ble Member of Parliament at Kotdwar @anil_baluni in the Garhwal Lok Sabha Constituency, on 11th April 2026. As a special and symbolical gesture, passports were also handed over by the distinguished Chief Guest to some applicants who had just applied for passports at the new Post Office Passport Seva Kendra, Kotdwar. From procedural clarity to strategic insights, the session aimed at building a more responsive and legally robust framework. Secretary (CPV & OIA) Ms. Sripriya Ranganathan chaired today a Regional RPOs Conference for the Southern Region. She was joined by Joint Secretary (PSP) and Chief Passport Officer Shri B.S. Mubarak and other officers from PSP Division. She carried out a comprehensive review of the functioning of Passport Offices, PSKs and POPSKs of the Southern Region and complimented the officers and their teams for their commendable performance. She also suggested measures to further enhance passport service standards for Indian nationals.
