#Maastricht at @EACTS : Proud of Our Team!
Once again, our team made significant contributions to citizenship, scholarship, and education at this year’s annual @EACTS , achieving several notable milestones:
-Conducted 8 #simulationtraining sessions in #endoscopic#aorticvalve and #mitralvalve surgery using #simulators invented and developed in Maastricht: 16 hours of hands-on training for over 150 surgeons!
-In collaboration with EACTS, led a randomized controlled trial (RCT) on simulation training specifically designed for left-handed surgeons during the meeting.
-Presented the first-ever major randomized trial at a cardiothoracic surgical meeting, with simultaneous publication in a leading journal (#JACC).
-Delivered a presentation on the Maastricht Technique for beating-heart aortic arch surgery without circulatory arrest.
-Presented on a variety of key topics including AF ablation, hybrid treatment, the EACTS/ESC guidelines on stand-alone AF ablation, AI, and extracorporeal life support.
-Maastricht editors of MMCTS and ICVTS lit up the editorial "Olympic flames" during the editor’s dinner, standing among other editorial "athletes."
We are immensely proud of the contributions and hard work of all our colleagues during the meeting and those who are covering for us in Maastricht: Roberto Lorusso Bart Maesen Elham Bidar Bart Scheenstra Shokoufeh Cheheili Sobbi Sophie van de Walle Anastasiia Pavlykova-Chertovska Marvin Fillet Eric E.
