NEW: Earlier this year, an obscure startup in Texas announced that it had received at least $100 mil from one of the richest men in Asia.
We dug into the backstory. We discovered a saga involving Donald Trump Jr., Russian oil, and an Indian billionaire family’s private zoo.

#WATCH | Delhi: Newly elected JNUSU Vice President, Kizhakoot Gopika Babu says, "... The students have given a clear mandate against the ABVP hooligans. The politics that the RSS forwards is the politics of Islamophobia, feudalism, Brahminwaad, patriarchy and misogyny and that has been rejected by the student community of this campus... The government will be held accountable for why funds are not available to obtain subscriptions to the common journals that research scholars need... All of this is because a systematic attack is going on against the JNU by calling it the 'hub of anti-nationals' and the 'hub of urban Naxals'.... " (06.11)
The thing about belief is that it is a personal choice. No one can take it away. Countless people have found strength and solace in religion during difficult times. In fact, I have even envied those who are able to do so, because I have never had that option.
The people of Gaza have endured a level of cruelty that most of us cannot even begin to imagine. My words are not addressed to them. My social media posts are meant for people in my own country, and perhaps a few from neighbouring ones, where these questions about belief, power, and accountability need to be asked.
Palestine is not the first time I have raised questions about god and religion. I have done so before, when stampedes have taken place in India.
The reason I raise this question whenever a tragedy occurs, even at the risk of being called insensitive, is because that is when accountability must be discussed. Human tragedies are human-made, and religion often acts as a barrier to demanding accountability. Religion has a way of lulling people into believing that things happen for reasons beyond human comprehension, when in truth they do not. Things happen because we make them happen. And for far too long, religion has been used to distract us, to dull our sense of responsibility, and to pacify outrage that should otherwise lead to action.
So while I may receive a few brickbats for speaking about god and religion in the context of senseless loss of human life, I will continue to do so.
On 4th February 1948, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (R.S.S.) was banned by Home Ministry under Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The reason of the ban was that it constituted " danger to public peace ".

The Israeli state is committing genocide. It has murdered over 60,000 people, 18,430 of whom were children.
It has starved hundreds to death including many children and is threatening to starve millions.
Enabling these crimes by silence and inaction is a crime in itself.
It is shameful that the Indian Government stands silent as Israel unleashes this devastation on the people of Palestine.
