تُدين منظمة سلام للديمقراطية و حقوق الانسان الاعتقال التعسفي للناشط الحقوقي البحريني، #علي_الحاجي، الذي تم استدعائه للتحقيق في 28 فبراير 2025، و قد تم ايداعه في توقيف سجن الحوض الجاف لاستكمال الاستجواب في اليوم التالي وقد تمحور التحقيق حول نشاطه الحقوقي، لا سيما نشره لتغريدات عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي حول انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان في #البحرين، ودفاعه المستمر عن حقوق السجناء والمفرج عنهم.

وفي 1 مارس 2025، أصدرت النيابة العامة في البحرين قراراً بتوقيف علي الحاجي لمدة سبعة أيام على ذمة التحقيق، ووجهت إليه تهمة "سوء استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي"، وهو ما يعكس تقييدًا صارمًا لحرية التعبير.

من الجدير بالذكر أن علي الحاجي كان قد اعتقل في مايو 2013، حيث حكم عليه بالسجن لمدة عشر سنوات بتهم تتعلق بحرية الرأي والتعبير، وأُفرج عنه في يونيو 2023.

النيابة العامة قررت توقيف زوجي، المدافع عن حقوق الإنسان #علي_الحاجي، لمدة سبعة أيام على ذمة التحقيق، وذلك بسبب تغريداته على حسابه الشخصي في منصة X ، سيتم نقله إلى سجن الحوض الجاف صباح الغد.

تم توقيفه بتهمة “سوء استخدام مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي ”، رغم أنه لم يدعُ يومًا إلى العنف، وعُرف بعمله الحقوقي المهني وتواصله المباشر مع ضحايا انتهاكات حقوق الإنسان في البحرين.

إن استهداف علي واعتقاله بسبب تغريداته الح��وقية او عمله، الذي يهدف إلى تحسين الأوضاع الحقوقية في البحرين والدفاع عن حقوق السجناء، يأتي ضمن سياق التضييق المستمر ع��ى عمل المدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان. وبأن الثمن الذي يدفعه سيكون غالٍ في سبيل رسالته الإنسانية القائمة على الدفاع عن الحقوق ونشر الوعي لذا، أطالب الجهات المعنية بالإفراج الفوري عنه، إذ لم يقم إلا بممارسة حقه الطبيعي في حرية الرأي والتعبير.

نعيش في بلد تدّعي حكومته أنها تكفل التسامح وحرية الرأي والتعبير وفق الدستور، ومع ذلك، في أول أيام شهر رمضان، يتم اعتقال مدافع عن حقوق الإنسان بدلًا من أن يكون بين عائلته وفي مجالس القرآن.
