A lot of people are making fun of this but can't fathom the level of obsession(call it healthy or unhealthy) required to be at the very top so consistently.

He poured his entire life into pushing limits and it was only possible due to extreme self criticism.

This is a crucial look inside of the character types that break boundaries of their fields. It is not all glory and fame and it is certainly not for money or easy life.

I'm really glad that he has good team mates and friends around him when he needs them the most. The biggest weakness of being obsessed by greatness is the potential for self destruction.
