@chiquitina_mx@AdKav2@ioangrillo It’s not about defending, it’s about being realistic. FIFA World Cup is a scarce product that only happens once every 4 years. Compare that to Beyonce, Taylor Swift, Coachella ticket prices and it’s reasonable to set those prices. Demand is global, not local.
@AdKav2@ioangrillo You live in La La land. “Tickets SHOULD go to fans… for a reasonable fee”?!? You don’t think the rich will offer those fans who bought at a reasonable fee 4-5x the amount and still get it in?! Be realistic. This event is massive and always goes to the highest bidder.
@ioangrillo Still needs to be run like a business. Can’t be in red , especially with such high production. They’re giving us what we want, otherwise the consumer rejects it.
@CurtisScoon The PPV for Haney vs Kambosos was only in Australia. Kambosos got 70/30 for the Australian market. The fight aired on ESPN in the states. Of course Kambosos deserved more for the Australian audience.
@CurtisScoon@SteveR324 Here’s a few other examples:
RJJ - $1.5M vs Julio Gonzalez - $500K
SRL - $15M vs Lalonde - $5M
Hagler - $190K vs Antuofermo - $40K
Holyfield $5M vs Ruiz - $1.1M
@CurtisScoon Well I’m with you on the stupidity of designation of Franchise/Emeritus/Super belts. I wouldn’t attribute it to racism though. Not sure of other cases where that happened, and certainly can’t call it racist if it’s only happened once .
@CurtisScoon What Arum did to Haney?!?
Haney accepted the deal and willfully signed the contract. Haney is his own promoter.
Floyd an outlier? So you are moving the goal posts.
Stop digging yourself into a deeper hole.
@CurtisScoon So then you’re conceding that Floyd vs Guerrero is an example of an 80/20 split between a black and non black???
Because you said nobody can show you a single example.
