@ScoringChanges @astros @Angels So, for us stringers, is it just an advanced on play? It's not a sac fly due to its depth and catch by an infielder; is that correct? Is it akin to a ground out where a runner on third scores - batter goes 0/1 but gets the RBI?

@Brett_A_Taylor I thought it was strange that he positioned himself to pick that on the backhand anyway. That seems to be the "flashy" way to play it rather than the fundamentally sound way. It would make sense if the runner to 1st was exceptionally fast, but he had time to play it straight up.

@burnsieoriginal @Chasenpucks39 Burnsie, that's my hometown team! I grew up watching the two of them tear up the IHL. Home games were absolute events!! That IHL era had some tough customers - Stu Grimson, Warren Rychel, Mike Peluso, Shane Churla, Kerry Clark, Link Gaetz, Kevin Evans!!

@ScoringChanges I completely agree with your interpretation of the rule. As a fellow scorer, how does the advancement from third to home get scored? The batter doesn't get credit for a sac fly, so is it just advanced on play?
