Between @StephenMoore902’s Convoy Occupation comments & his work alongside alt-right journalists, he has proven that he has questionable judgement.
There is no place in Nova Scotia politics for someone who thinks the swastika is a “legitimate” form of protest.

In October 2023, @StephenMoore902 published an article in the National Post defending the trucker convoy in Ottawa, the use of swastikas at the rally, and compared Justin Trudeau’s government to Nazi Germany.

While ED of @_ForestNS, @StephenMoore902 took a gov’t-paid junket to Finland, with a London side-trip to “party it up” with alt-right activists (“the free speech crew”) — including vocal transphobic bigots David Agape, Rupa Subramanya & Eli Vieira.
#NSpoli#NSPC#cdnpoli
Why was @TimHoustonNS’s Communication Director Stephen Moore partying it up with transphobic bigots and outspoken alt-right “anti-trans” activists in London weeks before his appointment by Houston?
AND: did Forestry Nova Scotia (@_ForestNS) pay for this?

This is my father in law Kevin getting his big break at the Truck Parade on Saturday. Kevin is not only a big truck enthusiast, but also the unofficial mascot of #CapeBreton. You’re welcome.
Drivers “don’t see pedestrians” because they simply don’t look. This is what I was wearing, walking on a sidewalk, waiving my umbrella, when a driver almost hit me pulling out of a parking lot. Please look for more than a break in the traffic #DartmouthNS. #Halifax
The Daily Drum
Today I am posting a “Two-Spirit Drum”.
“Two Spirit” is a term used within Indigenous communities, encompassing cultural, spiritual, sexual and gender identity. The term reflects Indigenous understandings of gender roles, spirituality, and the history of diversity.
10. This of course famously led to the sacking of the institute and the plundering of its books, thousands of them, which included the earliest research into transgender people.
The books they were burning were of the institute.

JK Rowling is seemingly now publicly denying Nazi atrocities against transgender people.
In response to a tweet that references the looting of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft, one of the most famous Nazi book burnings, Rowling suggests that it "might've been a fever dream".
JKR denying that the Nazis burned the books & research of the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft (on queer, trans, & gender non-conforming ppl) is dangerous, especially during this time of fascist attacks on Queer and Trans People. It is wrong, a-historical, and holocaust denial.
This is a bizarre but incredibly important interaction for understanding how JK Rowling's mind works post-radicalisation, and how cult movements and extremist groups are able to function in conflict with seemingly undeniable reality.
A small thread 🧵
Cuts to the heating assistance program, a broken residential tenancies system and higher power rates are making things worse.
Nova Scotians aren't getting the help they need.

@liz_hallett @nspc Absolutely, & I am one of those women. Security measures such as cameras and panic buttons are mostly only helpful after something has happened. Whereas a second person there can help de-escalate the situation.
Another staff in MLA offices would a) help better support the public b) take the temperature down when things are escalated c) dissuade someone from acting violently. All of the security measures also won't get to the root of the problem; people are desperate & need help. #nspoli
I work in an MLA office & often work alone; I shouldn't have to. It's not safe & it doesn't serve the public. The more people are struggling the more they rely on our offices to: apply for $ & find emergency $, fight evictions, keep their power from being disconnected... #nspoli
I was entirely unsurprised that a Constituency Assistant was attacked recently; it was coming. To suggest that we cheap out on government staff safety is insulting. All of the security doohickey's will not prevent something like this from happening, but a second person could. 5/
