@kenshirriff 3/ Sort of good luck that the 26 letters (01 to 32 in octal display code) puts the digits 0-9 such that decimal arithmetic on this binary machine can be done with no loops.
@kenshirriff 2/ / But 5-9 (40-44) can carry. Eg 5+5 is 100 octal. With appropriate masking and shifting a 1 bit in all the positions with a carry can be added into to the digit receiving the carry.
@kenshirriff 1/ Count me in the interested group. In a different architecture (CDC 6000 series) Decimal add of 10 display code digits in a register is an interesting case. Display code is octal and the numbers 0-9 are 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 40,...44.
An add of 0-4 (33-37) will not carry.

"Oh, don't worry about Texas," they said. "It'll all get worked out in the courts," they said. "This won't be as bad as you think," they said.
Evil begets evil.
Criminalizing trans children, banning books, and attacking the right to vote are not three separate issues, they're one fascist movement, and they need to be treated accordingly.
.@koderapp Search/find shows all the lines with matches. A powerful feature I've used in other editor then allows "copy matched", "cut matched", "delete matched".
