Did Madam Shyarly see the "God of Destruction" version of Nika when she looked into Luffy's fortune? 🤔

Her final prophecy was that Luffy would eventually destroy Fish-Man Island.

Back then, I always thought that Luffy would be the one to fulfill Joyboy's promise.

I believe Joyboy's promise to the Mermaid Princess during the Void Century was to bring the Fish-Men and Merfolk up to the surface, allowing them to finally coexist with humans. Unfortunately, he was unable to fulfill that promise.

I think this could be connected to Luffy and the Straw Hats' promise to Shirahoshi: to take her on a real walk through a forest in the surface under the open sky the next time they meet. Perhaps these two promises are even one and the same.

What if Luffy eventually destroys Fish-Man Island in his "God of Destruction" Nika form, perhaps after gaining complete control over this power?

By that time, Fish-Man Island might no longer be inhabited because the Fish-Men and Merfolk will have finally moved to the surface, where they can live freely alongside humans.

In other words, Luffy could fulfill Joyboy's promise while also making Madam Shyarly's prophecy come true! 👀

It is highly likely that Nerona Imu has been completely taken over by his Devil Fruit.
This explains why "Imu" always refers to himself in the third person; he has assumed control of Nerona Imu’s body, yet he must be careful, as that body has its own limitations.

This serves as a great contrast to Luffy and his Nika fruit. While Luffy maintains control over the soul of Nika, Imu has lost his own soul entirely, with his Devil Fruit gaining complete dominance over his body.

This fits perfectly with a recurring theme in *One Piece*, the relationship between the souls within a Zoan fruit and the human host.
