LORD, PLEASE KEEP US SAFE 🙏
Let us join hands in praying the Oratio Imperata as #UwanPH intensifies into Super Typhoon and brings life-threatening conditions in Catanduanes and several areas on Sunday.
🇵🇭 Walk as Filipinos, Not Factions
By Dr. Tony Leachon
Floods don’t ask who you voted for.
They don’t care if you wear red, pink, yellow, or blue.
They don’t pause for religion, gender, race, or wealth.
They drown classrooms, hospitals, cars, malls, and homes—without discrimination.
And yet, our response remains divided.
Partisan.
Performative.
While the waters rise, the debates in Congress spiral into theater.
Probes are marked by drama, not direction.
And those who should be held accountable—contractors, billionaires, lawmakers—remain dry, untouched, and unbothered.
President Marcos says he welcomes protest.
But Speaker Zaldy Co and others seem to thrive in a divided nation.
That’s our problem.
We’ve allowed corruption to be filtered through selective ideologies.
We condemn it only when it suits our tribe.
We march only when our colors are called.
But justice cannot bloom in the soil of ego.
It cannot be achieved if our outrage is rooted in self-interest.
If you plan to attend the September 21 rallies—whether in Luneta or EDSA—leave your ego in your closet.
Leave your party colors in your cars.
Walk mightily, not as BBM, DDS, Dilawan, or Pinklawan.
Walk as Filipinos.
Because this isn’t about factions.
It’s about a nation drowning in neglect.
It’s about children missing school, workers losing wages, families losing homes.
It’s about a government that can build flood control projects worth billions—but can’t seem to control the floods.
So go where it’s convenient.
Luneta or EDSA.
Join the clergy, the students, the fandoms, the activists.
Join the hip-hop heads, the K-pop stans, the Otakus.
Join the quiet ones, the angry ones, the hopeful ones.
But above all, join as one people.
Because corruption is not partisan.
And neither is justice.
Let the corrupt fall.
Let the truth rise.
Let the Filipino spirit shine.
