The Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSEL), Ministry of Education, today organized a national online workshop on Mental Health & Cyber Security for engagement of youth, to mark World Mental Health Day.
The event was chaired by Shri Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary, DoSEL, and featured esteemed speakers; Dr. Rajesh Sagar (MD), Psychiatry Department AIIMS and Dr. Rashmi Sharma Yadav, DCP, Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre, MHA who explained nuances of mental well-being and ensuring cyber safety in the digital realm of the students and the society as a whole. Smt. Archana Sharma Awasthi, Joint Secretary, DoSEL, highlighted the pivotal role teachers play in educating students about mental health and the necessity of maintaining security in the online environment. The workshop saw the active participation of more than 20 lakh students and educators across the country.
