@mrbartonmaths@profbeckyallen Started listening to this yesterday. Absolutely LOVED the AI geekery, especially use of the term ‘workflow’! Inspired a few blog posts now being written.
@delta thanks for washing your hands of any responsibility for a school group of 14 who have been told we cannot fly from Atlanta until tomorrow but are now left without a hotel or any other support. All because you didn’t think you might struggle to deice a plane.
@practicalgolf While this is about emotional regulation, maybe this links (or is perhaps the same) as my theory (hunch) that there is a sweet spot of thinking where you need to be thinking/focusing enough to avoid certain swing errors but not thinking too much as to over complicate.
@kate_stockings I just read After the Spike (Spears & Garuso). Looks at population trends and the challenges of depopulation. Really interesting perspective, written by two solid academics. Evidenced well and communicated with humility given the politics of the subject. Recommended.
Just finished reading the remarkable Figuring by @themarginalian. Will take some time to finish digesting. Perfect book for me to try @RyanHoliday card system for note taking. Truly amazing book.
@U2Community I’ve messaged using the website help form several times but am still waiting for a response. Issue with the subscriber gift delivery. Please could you help?
Does learning #German on @duolingo feel much more difficult & inefficient than it should?
Little explicit grammar instruction, no modelling or feedback, it is basically gamification of educated guesswork.
Surely could be better? Are other languages the same?

@CresswellTim Just came across your Substack and this article. Now looking forward to your book! As a geographer who has followed your ocean crossing and a former local politician, there was lots in this article which spoke to me. I’d love to see how my takes on local and localism compare.
@rpondiscio This might be a reasonable intro: https://t.co/utKn30D0jw. I did postgrad research linked to Young and have also worked on the practical application of it in developing knowledge rich curricula in schools in the UK and the US.
@rpondiscio I came across your op-ed covering ‘Developjng Curriculum for Deep Thinking.’ You may have already come across Natalie Wexler’s new book arguing importance of knowledge for children learning to read, which aligns with your piece.
