He said something that encapsulated what I've been dissatisfied with: "music is not meant to be noticed it's meant to be felt". The only current composer who it feels subscribes to this is Leo Kaliski. The rest make generic fantasy slop.

I'm not well versed in music and it's always hard for me to explain why it isn't the same anymore. Compare BC Blood elf starting zone music to any Midnight track. No competition.
