@MylesDev@tekbog Many others were affected, not just Revolut. While it may be that all of them were running in one zone only, I doubt it. It’s more likely that the remaining zones did not have enough capacity to accept all the workloads trying to failover at the same time.
@angrymoofs@MaxRovensky@Revolut They probably do, but unless it’s operated in active-active mode (which is too expensive), the RTO for bringing the services up in the secondary region or cloud is likely much longer than it takes to fix the primary region.
@tihan_kuypers@PeterDClack The break even point depends on the battery size, how and where it was manufactured, charged and recycled, and it’s going to be different for every single EV. 20-30k seems to be very optimistic. I’d be interested to see how those independent (?) studies calculated those numbers.
@satyanadella@satyanadella please consider consolidating the product names here. We now have the Copilot, the Autopilot and the Cowork - this is very confusing and slowing down the adoption.

@AnStra14 Cool, I worked at JEK1, amazing piece of technology and still very much alive and kicking, especially after they swapped the steam generators back in 2000 (which also allowed them to raise the rated capacity by ~10%). Can’t wait to see the JEK2 coming to life.
@Lv10noob@heisenbergs696 Ja, unter den richtigen Bedingungen. In Deutschland und großen Teilen West/Nordeuropas ist PV eine Lösung für ein Problem das noch gefunden werden muss.
@Perpetualmaniac Even if models could „self replicate their code“ (which they can’t), this code would still require huge amounts of hardware to run on and models can not magically „replicate“ the hardware. So this is bulls*it.
@GoldenerReiter2@gregnacu But will teach them how CIRCLE and LINE work behind the scenes and enable them to go beyond just CIRCLE and LINE when they need to. Btw, I used to do wonders with C64 assembly back in the day and that helped me throughout my entire career to this day.
@JordanEVGuy None of these cars were older than ~5 years. The average car age in Europe and USA is around 12 years and growing. How many EVs will live that long and how much battery capacity will they have left? What will their resale value be once the battery warranty expires?
@Labor2b@Strombock Bei Autoscout24 gibt es gerade >64000 gebrauchte Reinelektroautos, bei https://t.co/Mzswy5CRXH sogar über 77000. Wieso ist der Markt leer?
@msftsecurity It could be useful, but I and many others who are not willing to give you all our personal information just to download it will never find out.
