@Alph4betSoup@techknight2 Maybe, or a modified version of something? This is a weird one indeed.
It almost looks like a hybrid between what I linked and this one https://t.co/M9gHYdVkV0
@Alph4betSoup@techknight2 Hmmmmm no I might be wrong, it's very similar but not the same componentry. I'm not sure how many components were allowed to be unique across the same model boards back then though.
@UK_Daniel_Card If I use any it's going to be self hosted so none of these in specific.
I am thinking of spinning up Odysseus in my lab, just gotta get another GPU into my server.
@foley2k2 This is an old build. Funnily enough I actually have a single 4090 in the current build lol. Same case but a completely different setup, only part that's still the same in it is the PSU and case.
Here's another photo when I did the upgrade to Threadripper 3000 and added water cooling. I miss this rig even though my current one is better. ๐ญ
Threadripper 3970X
128GB of RAM
2 x 1080ti
1 x 1070
1 x 2060
Still had the Optane 900P in here too it's just hard to see (bottom)
@TG01_Actual@infosec_fox Better yet, a full height server rack in the basement ;) lol
While I have a big beefy desktop rig, I do have this rack as well. It's a disaster right now but plan is to clean it up (including proper rackmount cases) once I move it to the garage.
@infosec_fox Thanks I appreciate it! I hope to make it as nice as this again one day, I'm still using the case but all the core components are air cooled now and the cable management is terrible lol. Might wait for new hardware to come out and then do a big upgrade at once.
Having a really interested debate about TLS break and inspect w/ firewalls on Reddit right now (I know right? Someone on reddit having a good conversation).
I fundamentally think it's a bad idea, and I feel most in infosec agree. But curious what everyone here thinks?
I'm not anti AI but I do find it really funny that humans built computers to be deterministic, since humans aren't, and then we taught it to be non-deterministic.
I still hate slop and irresponsible datacenter build out though.
Finally watched Dr. Strangelove and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think it'd be bad, but I thought it'd be "meh", turned out quite good though and holds up decently well today.
Microsoft is threatening legal action for disclosing exploits. The company is feuding with a security researcher publicly posting zero day vulnerabilities ๐ฌ https://t.co/HHszbdFHbQ
